Welcome to the SC Herbal Society

The purpose and mission of the SCHS is to bring the joy of herbs, gardening, simple living and fun back into our lives.

Those new to herbs (Seedlings) as well as long-time herbal enthusiasts (Seasoned Herbs) are welcome. The only requirement is a curiosity and love of plants – or the willingness to cultivate these attributes.

We welcome herbalists of all ages and backgrounds.  Our monthly meetings include an educational component as well as time for members to provide feedback, suggestions and comments to help the Herbal Society best meet the needs of its members and partners.

SCHS workshops are meant to provide hands-on training, research findings, and 'how to' education that help people feel more comfortable in the garden, the kitchen, and the 'herb pantry.'

If your organization would like to partner with the SC Herbal Society, please contact us.

Nasturtiums are an easy and versatile herb to grow from seed.  The edible flowers and leaves are delicious and festive in salads, or you can stuff the fresh flowers with a bit of goat cheese flavored with a touch of sea salt to bring a bit of excitement to an appetizer tray.  With antibiotic properties, nasturtiums help keep your body healthy and your garden happy.
